Welcome, Trevor

I just wanted to let you know that on May 23rd, our baby boy, Trevor James, was born. He weighed 6 lbs, 14 oz. and measured 19.75 inches. He is a very sweet, cuddly baby.

We've been lying low at home. Although I have a bazillion layout ideas swirling in my head, I'm too tired to do much more than think about them, since my scrap space is still a mess. He nurses approximately every 2 1/2 hours. He pretty much only sleeps on someone's chest - laying him on his back for diaper changes or sleeping is a scream, literally.

He is a snuggler and a cuddler which makes me so happy. I need to get out the carrier that Amelia hated and see if he'll hang out there, so I can get off my sore tailbone. The swing is also a favorite spot, and we can (occasionally) get him to sleep there. I guess none of my babies will ever sleep in that adorable bassinet.

Trevor's big sister adores him. Amelia wants to hold and snuggle him ALL the time and gets very distressed when he cries. She mimics the things that I say, like "it's okay, sweetie, it's okay." So adorable in her little voice.

She has also taken to random pronunciations about being a Big Sister. Example: "I'm a big sister. Big sisters don't eat baby peas. Big sister's like 'sparagus." (so we give her some, which she then refuses to taste).

I'm adjusting to life as a mother of two, and the idea that "the baby" isn't Amelia. DH keeps accidentally saying she/her instead of he/him - 3 years of habit are hard to break.

So we're all adjusting to the new little life in our midst.
