First Layout

I'm excited that the Simple Gals have banded together and formed Write.Click.Scrapbook. I spent early Monday morning (I mean EARLY, during a night feeding) checking the site on my iPhone (hey, they said June 1) and enjoyed perusing the June gallery.

And now I'm having fun checking out everyone's first layouts, so I thought I'd share mine. This is a scan from 2000, so the sizing is tiny. I'd scan it again, but the album lives at my parents.

My first layouts were in 2000 for a present for Mom - a mini album with 2 page spreads of each kid's first year, plus a page about our names. She loved it (and still does - the album is falling apart, we've all looked at it so much).

Even then, I was a slow scrapper. I think this 10 page album took me several weeks. It was supposed to be a birthday present in January, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't done until Mother's Day...
