Playing with (Plastic?) Paper

I've been busy today - picked up a few things at the LSS during the garage sale and they got me in the mood to scrap. One of my purchases was this:

A KI Memories Sheer Delights - it's kind of a semi-translucent plastic, about the thickness of a place mat. I wanted it for the mini album I'm working on. So I stuck it on my Cricut E mat and cut it using Dan's brackets in Sure Cuts A Lot. For anyone who cares, it took 3 passes. The first two were at med pressure, low speed. For the third pass, I moved up to high pressure. Perfect clean cut.

I then did the same thing with a thicker clear acetate, for my mini album cover. That didn't work as well, so I ended up using the blade marks as a cutting guide. Not quite as clean, but it gives me a thicker cover to work with. I'm so excitied - I can make my own, perfect-sized mini albums.

When I get the whole bracket album assembled, I'll post pics. But it's lookin' darlin' so far.
